Peonicles was started by peon.ORLY and zomg.pwned studying in an imaginary institute of higher education called AntiU in Singapore.
Editor’s Note: AntiU will also sometimes be referred to as NTU because
- we think it’s really a cute and apt sounding acronym for our school
- we’re lazy and it’s waaay easier to type 3 keys instead of 5
Anyway, it all started with AntiU’s Student Union. We don’t know what to make of this group of people. We have 2 theories though.
- They’re a bunch of poor souls who have power only in name, and are actually perpetually made out to be the bad guys by the school administration, the real evil-doers. What audacity!
- They’re a bunch of lazy folks who like the perceived influence and power the Student Union grants to them. By day they pretend they make a positive difference though “press releases”, speeches and interviews, and sometimes they (purely by accident) actually do make things better. By night, they hold “meetings” to discuss the grand plan they are going to execute to make AntiU a better place.

Fed up with the draconian (imaginary) administrative system, and the amount of bullshit printed in articles published by the free (also imaginary) newpapers -which can only print what the (again, imaginary) school administration wants the (yup, still imaginary) school population to read, the writers got more than a little pissed with the ongoings on campus life and started this blob.
Some would call this site a “blog”, others who hate the word call it “Alternative Media”.
We sort of intensely dislike both terms because of the connotations that come with them.
We’re calling this site a Blob.

The word “meeting” has a unique meaning in AntiU, but it can be loosely translated into Singlish as “eh, go where eat supper today hah” or “sit around talk cock while doing absolutely nothing”.
